Knott’s Scary Farm transforms the entire theme park into a Halloween-themed festive grounds. This year, 10 scary mazes are featured, with select rides open. This is great for those who love a bit of fright, thrill, and rides in the dark.
Fright & Fast Lane Pass
20000% recommend the Fast Lane Pass (separate purchase from the daytime Fast Lane Pass). Some rides and maze lines can be a 120-minute wait. Skip the line, and you’ll wait 5-15 minutes for most attractions. The fast lane was so convenient that you could ride the Silver Bullet MANNNNY times in the same hour.
The best part of this Fast Lane Pass is that it is unlimited use, so you really can go back-to-back as much as you’d please, unlike Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights. Unfortunately, it’s a pay-to-play move, but it is the only way to buy your way to the front of the line. Alternatively, you can wait and come back another evening to finish the rest of the attractions.

Knott’s Scary Farm Haunted Mazes
There were 10 haunted mazes. Knott’s put a lot of effort into the details, including scare actors hung from the ceiling. I absolutely hate spiders, as many people do, so they did right with the Widows attraction. Otherwise, most of the scare is just a bunch of nose and scare actors popping up when you’re not paying attention.

Knott’s Rides
This was my first time at Knott’s in general. As a Disney girlie, I thought I could handle the rides at my age, but Ghostrider, Silver Bullet, and Sol Spin made me nauseated, gave me motion sickness, and made me question myself. These rides go upside down. The rides are a bit more intense than Disney, so it’s great for the youngins.
Knott’s Scary Farm
I’d prefer going to Knott’s Scary Farm. Parking is less chaotic, and the park is more spread out, so you can actually have personal space. There are more haunted maze options to immerse yourself in, and if you’re into rides, even better. The downside is that water refill stations are limited. For that reason, I’d probably recommend against bringing your own water into the park, and not bringing a bag if you can! There are limited lockers available. You’d end up having to leave your bag or valuables on top of the crates where people board/offboard the rides, and you risk losing them. I couldn’t go on one ride because I had my Louis Vuitton Bum Bag with me and didn’t want to put it down where anyone could take it. Why would I?! Many of these rides don’t have pouches to store your belongings, as Disney does.
Also, I highly recommend purchasing your parking ticket ahead of time.
As far as food goes, there are plenty of great options around Buena Park. I 200% recommend eating before you go to Knott’s so you can maximize your time there.
Overall, I still prefer Knott’s Scary Farm over Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights any day.
