Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn opened its doors for service last September. This is Beverly Hills’ latest designer restaurant, in collaboration with the three-star Michelin chef, Dominique Crenn. This restaurant is on the 3rd floor of the Dior flagship store on Rodeo Drive.
Chef Crenn’s restaurant is a work of art in its own right. She takes you through an experience from beginning to end, with the menu written as a poem, allowing guests to be fully immersed in the courses through vision and taste. She believes food is a way to connect with people. Every dish is carefully crafted, and I am so happy I got to experience it at Monsieur Dior. Chef Crenn was featured on Season 2, Episode 3 of Chef’s Table.
The Monsieur Dior Experience
It is highly recommended to book a reservation if you’d like to dine at Monsieur Dior. The overall experience of dining at this restaurant is amazing, and the attendant would take you through the history and story behind the restaurant and each dish, emphasizing that fashion can also take form in food.
You’re started off with some bread, butter, and amuse-bouche (the chef’s way of stimulating your taste buds). I absolutely love how the amuse-bouche is decorated with edible flowers; it has a very savory taste – I could eat a plateful of this! You’ll see more and more edible florals through the dining experience.

Tuna Violette Bouquet
This appetizer features a dry-aged tuna tartare with purple yam chips (from Hawaii). This is one of my favorite dishes, as you could never go wrong with tuna tartare. It had a very savory taste, thanks to the sesame mix. The presentation of this dish is absolutely stunning (as everything else).

Beef Tartare Couture
This dish features a beef tartare with egg yolk jam and bone marrow vinaigrette. The thin bread crisps represent some of the patterns used in Dior’s fashion house. I absolutely love how the colors just contrast with each other here. This dish has a bit of spice, but not so much that you’re in dire need of water. I love this combination! Highly recommend saving some of the bread served at the beginning to pair with this.

Goddess Garden
This dish is the epitome of what a goddess’ garden would look like. I LOVE how this salad was plated, featuring baby spinach, lettuce, Granny Smith apples, and green goddess dressing. Everything just flows together smoothly, and the apples were cut super nicely! I love the entire floral theme of the menu. This is one of my favorite salads to date. The dressing is not overpowering, but accommodates the greens nicely.

Sunny Saint Jacques
This dish features seared scallops, paired with blood orange drops and caper beurre blanc. I LOVED how the seared scallops tasted! Again, I could eat an entire plate of this as well – order two for the table! You’ll thank me later.

Agnolotti Cousu Main
This dish looks amazing with the charcoal and mushroom lace pattern on top, which mimics the Dior lace patterns in their outfits. This dish has black truffles and agnolotti, which is stuffed pasta in short. The dish comes out dry, and the attendant pours some mushroom consomme into it (basically a mushroom broth). The broth was very flavorful, as was the entire dish itself. Highly recommend treating it like a soup-like dish.

Salmon Rouge
This is one of the main dishes, featuring confit salmon cooked to medium-well, so it doesn’t dry out entirely. It is topped with fermented red pepper and clam sauce, with grilled spinach on the side.

Fushia Sablé
For dessert, we shared a Fushia Sablé, which is a coffee cremeux with dark chocolate sable and mascarpone. You can break off the thin top layer of chocolate and enjoy! Highly recommend sharing this dish unless you’re a mega sweet tooth!

We were then sent off with a house-made dessert: sticks of milk chocolate with pistachio filling.

Monsieur Dior: The Final Verdict
I absolutely enjoyed my experience at Monsieur Dior. The attendants were amazing, and the food was TOP TIER without paying the $500/pp Michelin Star menu at Atelier Crenn. Expect a similar level of food plating, full of florals (what Chef Crenn is known for), and an experience for your taste buds. I absolutely enjoyed my time here and definitely want to come back for their caviar service next time. With all the dishes ordered, yes, I left this restaurant full and did not eat for the rest of the day. The price is fair considering it’s a high-end restaurant in Beverly Hills. The drink menu did not disappoint either! Their matcha latte is actually really good?? Shocking!
For parking, there is a valet in front, or you can opt for nearby parking structures/street.
