The Lifestyle Edit is a blog series featuring some recent highlights of my day-to-day life. Hopefully, you’ll still find inspiration and relatable content through this blog series. If not, let’s still celebrate life and the everyday victories we face.
The Birthday Vibes
The birthday vibes went on throughout June. I kicked off my birthday month at Le Cafe Louis Vuitton NYC Experience. It was so perfect – being a Louis Vuitton girlie pop. I’m still thinking about NYC to this day.
Funny story: In NYC, I saw a girl on the subway with a Chanel Coco Crush ring. I was in love with that ring, and it prompted me to check it out at the Chanel Boutique in Beverly Hills. Guess what I got myself for my birthday! It’s so perfect because it’s a statement piece.
My heart is full. I had an amazing birthday celebration. The omakase experience at Taira in Garden Grove was truly a chef’s kiss.
Inside my Wellness Era
Wellness is an ever-changing concept built from the elements that support you. What gives you energy, how you recover, and how you move through your day-to-day life with clarity. My wellness routine is different now than it was four years ago. My needs have shifted, and I’ve found what works better for me.
I’ve tried boxing and pilates, but found my way back to HIIT. Lifting and running work best for my body because I need to burn the calories from all of the delicious food I eat. I still avoid certain foods, but I’ve improved my relationship with food by having a more balanced diet.
The high-intensity workouts put a continued strain on my neck, back, and knees. I found recovery being even more important than the workout itself, because how can you look forward to your next workout when your body is in pain? I started doing contrast therapy after working out, where a session involves switching back and forth between the red light sauna (10 min) and cold plunge (1 min).
It is never a waste to put time and effort into improving how you feel.

The Lifestyle Edit
Sometimes, you can get too caught up with life. I was supposed to go back to New York City for a day from Washington DC. There were major thunderstorms that caused my flight to be canceled… Then I booked another flight, which then got canceled an hour later. I ended up booking an Amtrak, but I ended up not going altogether. As much as I miss NYC, there were literal forces of nature that would have made that day trip stressful more than anything, just so I didn’t miss my reservations to Umeko and Le Cafe (again!!). I was stressed out about the $90 cancellation fees, then realized I would have spent more money to avoid those fees, while being miserable in the thunderstorm. Although it took me a bit to get to the final thought process, that’s part of life. The restaurants waived the cancellation fees due to the circumstance, which bless them for it!!
NYC will always be there, and I am glad I didn’t go because the airports around NYC were a mess from the cancellation, delays, and rush from the conclusion of the World Cup.
A stroll in the Smithsonian National Zoo was just fine for me.
It’s okay if things don’t go according to plan. Let go of the things you can’t control.
xoxo
