The Lifestyle Edit is a blog series featuring some recent highlights of my day-to-day life. Hopefully, you’ll still find inspiration and relatable content through this blog series. If not, let’s still celebrate life and the everyday victories we face.
Health is Wealth
I finally tried out Pilates and absolutely loved how it worked out my core that sit-ups, crunches, and other basic workouts would never touch.
At Barry’s Bootcamp, we hit some milestones!
- 150 Classes completed!
- Sprinted a 14-speed on the treadmill (WOW – 7 was my max a year ago).
- Grabbed 35lb dumbbells (I was stuck at 15lbs for the longest time).
Even though I’m not lifting as heavy as pre-pandemic, I feel healthier and more fit than before. HIIT greatly affected my strength and endurance when I’m out at the golf course.
The Sticker Shop
The La Golfista Loteria Sticker and Golf Girlie Sticker have been a big hit! Have you secured either of these stickers yet? Buy them for $3.55 each via my self-hosted shop, or $3.75 via Etsy. Etsy charges a listing fee, so by purchasing it through my self-hosted shop, I pass the savings to you xoxo.
Your Favorite Golf Girlie
Speaking of Golf Girlie, I launched my Golf Girlie page on this site! The intention is to have a one-pager summarizing all of my golf content.
My goal in golf is to play well and have fun. Thanks to golf, I’ve had many opportunities. There can be rounds where I’m stressed out because I didn’t play as well as I could. I have to remember that I am privileged to have the opportunity to play. A bad round is better than not being able to have one at all. At least I got to swing and be outside. I live, and I learn. I’m grateful for meeting new friends.
PS. I got closest to the pin – 2ft from the hole at Terranea’s Birdies for Breast Cancer event! I also scored closest to the pin at the Others’ event in San Clemente last month. I’m so happy I have gotten this far over two years.
The courses I’ve been to lately:
- Hidden Valley Golf Club: This was my first official event with the Swing Sisters Golf Society, and this golf course is GORGEOUS. It was totally worth the drive out to Norco.
- Talega Golf Club: I took a long drive down to San Clemente to play in the Others GC tournament. This was a fairly difficult course, but I finished and scored closest to the pin and a bottle of wine.
- Bixby Village Golf Course: A fun 9-hole course in Long Beach. It was not in the best conditions, but I had fun with the ladies!
- Trump National Golf Course: Politics aside, this is a beautiful golf course. Every hole has a view of the ocean. It is also a very difficult course, with the ball always gravitating towards the ocean.
Students Golf – Field Trip to LA
Students Golf is a streetwear/lifestyle clothing brand for golfers. If you’re bored of the traditional polo and pants, this is one of the many brands you can rely on to look fly. They put up a cool event at the Bella Verde Golf Course in Montebello. They had golf celebrities come out to swing for a closest-to-the-pin challenge. Spectators can enjoy some Students Golf merchandise. There were other activations (pop-ups), including a locker full of Vans shoes that you can drill soft spikes to, custom headcovers, and a custom embroidered hat.
Louis Vuitton VIP Event
Louis Vuitton held a VIP event with complimentary bag conditioning, drinks, and bites. I had an amazing time out there and got to try out the Capucines! The Capcuines bag is definitely in my future, but which color and size? I am feeling the Mini Capucines in Black because it’s easy to style. At the same time, I have a bunch of black bags. I might need some neutrals in my life.
