Malbon Golf‘s Buckets Club hosted the Monarch Beach Brasserie last weekend with a complimentary women’s golf clinic. Malbon Golf has done phenomenal work in creating an amazing golf community. They’ve scored big with partnerships with JBL, Taylormade, Lexus, and more. It has been a while since I’ve been to the Monarch Beach Golf Links, and it is great to be back!
Malbon Golf
Malbon Golf was founded in 2017 by Stephen and Erica Malbon. It’s a golf lifestyle brand with fun collaborations with big brands such as Footjoy, Los Angeles Rams, Adidas, Coca Cola, Taylormade, Budweiser, New Balance, Jimmy Choo, and more. They even have a golf club via the Buckets Club, a $300/year membership, so you can attend their golf outings and shop their exclusive pro shop.

It is so cool to see how Malbon Golf puts on events. At Monarch Beach, there were a few booths set up, cool picture opportunities, Malbon flags everywhere, a custom Malbon x Lexus LX500 set up, Grips on the Go booth, and freeeee food!
Women’s Golf Clinic
It is great that Malbon Golf extended the event to host a free women’s golf clinic by the PGA coaches on-site, Jackie and Lyon. This was about a 75-minute session with the two coaches – one for irons and the other for putting.
During the irons session, we spent some time learning the proper mechanics of chipping between different clubs (pitching vs 8). We also had a full-swing practice, which was great because we were walked through the proper gripping technique.
Putting was actually really fun and the most important part of golf. What’s the point of hitting the driver 200+yds when you 4-putt to the hole? We learned the foot-to-foot mechanic and played tic-tac-toe putting. It was great to know your basic distance.
In the end, we did a target practice, and I hit a bullseye! I got to pick out a free hat at the pro shop, and called it a day.

Grips on the Go
Grips on the Go is a local and portable re-gripping service for golf clubs. If your grips are worn out, you could leave them at a golf shop, and it can take days to re-grip.
