Happy New Year! A new year represents many things. This can include a refreshed outlook on opportunities, reflecting on what you want ahead, and continuing the momentum. How do you define your success over the year? Are you measuring yourself against quantitative or qualitative goals? How will you motivate yourself to continue the strive over the year, especially during the third quarter? A lot of considerations when the new year hits.
I usually don’t wait until the new year to start a new slate. If I wanted to achieve a fitness goal, I wouldn’t wait three months until the new year. I’ll start immediately, regardless of what day of the year I’m in. I learned to continue writing my next chapter without having a clean notebook and starting on a specific date for the aesthetics. I’ll do my best to fill up every page, both figuratively and literally speaking.
outlooks for 2022
✨ I want to find peace for myself. I will eliminate negative energy and surround myself with those who want to level up. As Drake once said, “Started from the bottom, now the whole team here”.
✨ I’m looking forward to placing a bid in the California housing market. It’s time to buy a home.
✨ A major career change is down the path. I’ve outgrown my role as a Cybersecurity Senior Specialist. I’ve taken all of my projects to the next level from upgrading the internship program to developing a functional cyber risk hunting program.
✨ I will continue to grow my twitch channel and sticker shop. Marketing is a whole beast of its own.
✨ Hello Mario, my partner in fighting crime.
✨ Improving my health through nutrition and exercise. I was better about reducing food waste in 2021. It’s important to ensure what you eat is delicious, healthy, and keep your energy up. A bowl of vegetables is healthy, but I’ll be hungry again in 20 minutes. I found love for SoulCycle in 2021 and just bought a pack of 20 classes!
✨ Growing this blog by creating content based on my experience and genuine thoughts. For example, my ABG Gift Guide post was actually based on things I wanted for Christmas (as an ABG).
✨ Making smart financial decisions is important to ensure I spend money on the right things. I am a huge supporter of living your life, but do it within your own means. You can still buy that Chanel bag, but you don’t need to buy three in one year (unless you’re balling).
✨ Live happy. No if’s, and’s, or but’s.
Sending positive vibes to all 💕

Love the post! It is great to put your goals out for the world and friends to see! I believe that doing this holds you to your goals. When other folks are privy to your list, makes you more determined to meet the goal. Thanks for reminding me that I need to do this as well.

[…] New year shouldn’t always mean new me. It can mean continue doing what I’ve been doing, but striving to be better. Being better than where you were a month, quarter, and year ago. Making continuous strides. Being okay with having some changes along the way. Overcoming any obstacles that you come across. You don’t need to wait for a new calendar year to change. You can change at any time. […]
