The Lifestyle Edit XXII

September 22, 2026

The Lifestyle Edit is a blog series featuring some recent highlights of my day-to-day life. Hopefully, you’ll still find inspiration and relatable content through this blog series. If not, let’s still celebrate life and the everyday victories we face.

Wellness First

Crazy enough, a couple of years ago, I walked into Barry’s Bootcamp for the first time and struggled to run a 7-speed. I got up to 15, eventually. My wellness goal is constantly changing, depending on my needs. Back then, I needed to lose weight. Then I lost weight and wanted to lift heavier and run faster. Now, I just want to stay consistent and keep challenging myself. I’m not training for anything specific right now. I already know how Hyrox feels and don’t need to go do all of that.

Anyhoo, I finished 400 classes!

Meanwhile, I left SoulCycle at 140-something classes.

Following the September Wellness Guide, I’ve spent all summer trying to fix up my skincare and recovery routine. Here’s what I found that helped so far (links below contain affiliate links that will help support my blogging ventures):

  • For the Scalp: I’ve been switching back and forth between scalp care products. I’ve found VT Cosmetics PDRN Reedle Shot Hair Serum amazing for supporting hair growth without making your scalp feel sticky or clumping my hair together to look oily. My preferred product would have been the ATS Perstige Livesh Tonic otherwise.
  • For the Face: I’ve been using the single-pack sheet masks and discovered that buying the box is cheaper and better for the environment, especially if I’m only using it at home. I’ve been using the VT Cosmetics PDRN Daily Hydrating mask, but there are other options too, whether you’re looking for collagen, retinol, calming care, or more.
  • For the Eyes: I’ve started using the Mediheal Retinol and Collagen Eye Patches, and found them great for helping my eyes look more alive than anything. Apparently, this is not exclusive to applying them under your eyes, you can also apply them on your forehead, smile line, and even your neck for a bit of help.
  • For Toning: When I need to clean my face a bit more, the Mediheal Toner Pads have been a game changer! I’m either using products with PDRN, collagen, or retinol, because that’s what I need in my life right now. Easy to use, disposable, and you can use the remaining liquid to soak up some extra cotton rounds!
  • For the Moisturizing: After trying moisturizers that cost hundreds of dollars, they’re all the same. I found Medicube’s Triple Collagen Cream to be just as effective without breaking the bank. Best of all, it is very compatible with my makeup. That’s all I care about!

Not all products work for everyone, and you need to find what works for your skin!

I’m also currently obsessed with contrast therapy – rotating between the sauna and cold plunge for an hour. It’s been a monumental help for recovery. The cold plunge can be hard at first, but it takes time to build up endurance, just like many things in life. If you want to practice at home, keep the last minute of your shower at the coldest temperature.

Blogger Babes

You’d never know where blogging takes you. Somehow, it took me to Eena’s blog. I thought she was a vibe; we met, ate, traveled together, watched her get married, and watched her flourish in her career. On her latest trip down to LA, we finally met again! It is always nice to catch up in person, even though we talk every week. These are the valuable friendships that I am thankful for.

We dined at Izakaya Osen, and crazy that I didn’t like the beef tongue skewers a couple of years ago. Maybe your taste buds do change after a while, because that’s all I order these days. The restaurant upgraded to the building next door, with modern interior decor and a parking lot that is just as chaotic. I would still stand by the fact that this is great sushi and izakaya in the heart of LA.

The Lifestyle Edit

August was quite a chaotic month thanks to McDonald’s collaboration with Sanrio and Godzilla for the Happy Meal toys. Safe to say, I secured the main characters I’ve wanted: Hello Kitty, Kuromi, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll. THANK GOODNESS for the Happy Toy Scout website.

Went to Toronto for 48 hours. The shortest sprint.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to trust the process. It takes time as you navigate through the chapters in your life. Yes, you can absolutely do your own thing and not worry about what others think. Yes, you can also travel somewhere to gain inspiration. Go on an adventure and explore new places. Or you can do contrast therapy and rest.

For me, I’m just chilling.
