Buying a gift for golfers doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive. There is a budget for everyone, whether it’s a gift for the holidays, birthday, anniversary, or any other celebration. I’m giving tips based on my experience, so all you need to do is click buy. When it comes to buying a gift for golfers, it can also be for you!
golf apparel
You can never go wrong with golf apparel. There are hundreds of golf and sports apparel brands, some major like J. Lindeberg, TravisMathew, and Malbon, and other boutiques like Cravin Golf and Sierra Madre Golf. I am an affiliate with Cravin Golf and Sierra Madre Golf. Check out the specials from my affiliate link:
- Sierra Madre Golf: Use code “coldbrewvibes” or use my affiliate link for 10% off.
- Cravin Golf: Use code “coldbrewvibes” or my affiliate link for 15% off.
golf balls
Golfers lose golf balls all the time, whether it’s to some bush, lake, river, or mountain/cliff. If you’re going to gift some golf balls, at least gift some decent ones. I’ve tried the Taylormade Kalea balls, and they were horrible. The safest bets would be:
- Titleist Pro V1
- Callaway Super Soft
- TaylorMade TP5
If you want to gift a “fun” ball for less $$$, you can buy a set of glow-in-the-dark golf balls!
accessories for the bougie
If you’re not worried about spending on a gift for golfers, these items and experiences ($50+) are perfect! Of course, there are lots of brands and types out there. I’m giving you a foundation to start with. Do your research before making a final decision! Look at options in the same category.
- Range Finder: This great accessory allows a golfer to accurately measure how far they are from the hole. That measurement will allow a golfer to determine which iron they should use, whether they’re 110yds away or 75yds away.
- Indoor Golf Net: This can go both ways, whether you buy a small net or a full-size net – I am talking about the 10ft ones that allow a golfer to practice their driver swings in their backyard or garage.
- Virtual Golf Simulator Experience: There are lots of indoor virtual golf simulator experiences opening up. Instead of being at a real driving range or course, you’re in an indoor facility, where a projector and sensor are set up. This is like playing PGA Tour 2k23…. But somewhat in real life.
- “A Round on Me”: You can always treat your favorite golfer to a round of golf! Pick a time, place, and book it!
- Golf Club Covers: Golf club covers (for drivers, fairway wood, hybrid, and putter) can show off a golfer’s personality. My driver, fairway wood, and hybrid have a matching white kitted cover with a pom. It gives me winter beanie vibes, especially with a pom on top. People can also be punny and have cool covers. My other favorite is TaylorMade’s play on cafe du monde.
- Golf Bag Luggage Tag: It could be cool to have a custom luggage tag made with the golfer’s initials. This is also a great way to ensure a golf bag never gets lost.
- Selfie Stick: I got so tired of a small tripod that I bought a literal selfie stick that I can stick to the ground for amazing golf shots.
- 1:1 Coaching Experience with a PGA Coach: If the golfer needs a little boost, set them up with a 1:1 experience with a professional golfer, who can give them tips and tricks about giving a good swing. Will it cure all possibilities or slicing the ball? No, but it’ll help a bit.
- Golf Club Regrip: This is a bit iffy because you don’t want to buy a regrip for one club; it’d be ideal to have matching grips, so make sure you’re willing to dedicate to multiple clubs.
- Push Cart: Forget renting a push cart. Having your own is better.
accessories for the budget-friendly
It’s okay if you’re not looking to spend much on a gift for golfers, either. These under $50 options are great because they’re still useful and can still brighten a golfer’s day. I would be so happy if someone got me a cute $15 golf towel with a funny quote – putt now, wine later.
- Golf Towels: There are tons of golf towels with great designs. If you’re looking for a specific design or quote, there is one in the market. If the golfer has a favorite sports team, even better!
- Tees: You can never go wrong with a pack of tees! If you’re unsure about the size, 3.25″-4″ would be the best bet for driver shots.
- Ball Marker: A ball marker can show how fun a golfer is. There are lots of exciting designs, including a smoked salmon bagel, donut, pizza, sushi, golf brands, and more.
- Divot Tool: A divot tool is used to fix the divots in the greens, which are caused by the golf ball landing a bit too hard.
- Golf Glove: Golfers love new golf gloves, but some might feel that they have a lucky glove. This one is tricky because you need to know their glove size, which hand, and what brand the golfer likes.
- Ball Picker: This is a stick with a small net to pick up golf balls in ditches, bushes, and more. This is a great way to ensure golfers don’t lose their expensive balls and get scratched by a cactus.
- Flask: There are two ways to pick out a flask as a gift. You can buy a traditional flask or have fun and buy one of those hidden flasks that are disguised as a golf club.
- Golf Mat: A golf mat is perfect for allowing golfers to practice their swing at home, whether they’re practicing their chipping game or seeing how their club gets in contact with the “grass”.
- Re-Gripping Clubs: Take care of your friends’ clubs by offering to pay for their new golf club grips. You can have Grips on the Go come and change the grips on a few clubs or all of them. Your friend will thank you by playing well in the next scramble tournament.
