Two Girls & The Tee: Summer Golf Kickoff Soirée

June 24, 2025

Two Girls & The Tee hosted their Summer Golf Kickoff Soirée last weekend, and it was a HUGE success. Special thanks to Paola and Ruthie for organizing such a successful event that empowers both new and seasoned golfers to come out, have a great time, and play golf. If you don’t know what Two Girls & The Tee is, it’s two girls who come together to curate unique golf experiences for ladies in Southern California. It’s not a golf club, it’s a vibe.

The Summer Golf Kickoff Soirée

The Links at Terranea hosted the Summer Golf Kickoff Soirée, a gorgeous par-3 nine-hole course with an ocean view at the south tip of Rancho Palos Verdes. Best of all, you’re teeing off from grass, not mats.

The setup of the event was phenomenal – you’re greeted with a check-in table with a custom bracelet with your name. You then pick out a note from the many envelopes for a line of inspiration. Mine said, “You bring the calm. You bring the laughter. You bring exactly what this day needed.” My fortune: “A long-awaited yes is coming-and it’ll feel like home.”

There were two ticket options, one to play at The Links of Terranea; and the other included a golf clinic where a golf pro teaches you the basics of playing golf. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re new to golf or know enough to play. All of the ladies who have been saying they want to learn how to play golf – this was the perfect event for that manifestation.

The Social Gathering Experience

The social gathering made the Summer Golf Kickoff Soirée even more special. This is the time to get inspired, feel good, mingle, and enjoy the ambience. More importantly, get some pictures in! This event was extra special because it featured several small businesses that elevated the experience.

OnlyGolfers: OnlyGolfers is not just a live scoring and golf networking app – it’s an experience as well. OnlyGolfers specializes in providing tournament experiences, including check-in, activities, and other necessary services. This is a family company, and everyone is amazing. The OnlyGolfers Women, Julie and Raven, the mom-and-daughter duo, came out and hosted the champagne table and fun chipping challenge for prizes.

Tequila Tesoro Azteca: Tesoro Azteca is a woman-owned tequila company. The bottle is designed like a pineapple, and the lid is designed to allow you to take tequila on the go, similar to a perfume bottle. Best of all, it is TSA-approved so that you can bring two of them with you on the plane. The tequila is very smooth, whether you’re fancying a blanco, reposado, or any of their special batches.

Mexi Munch: Mexi Munch specializes in snack carts and bounce house rentals. Delicious charcuterie plates were served, perfect to pair with the champagne!

MNML Golf: MNML Golf holds a special place in my heart because I take my lessons here at the Pasadena location. Nick fixed my swing and got me driving 240yds. They have just launched their new bag design, the M Comp, specifically designed for golf pros. I love their bags because they use magnets for closures rather than zippers.

Grips on the Go: Grips on the Go is a mobile grip-changing service, whether you’re looking to swap golf club grips for a few clubs or all of your clubs. Jose is amazing because I gave him a club to swap out the grip, and when I turned around, he was already done. The best part is that they use a special solution that dries QUICKLY, so you’re ready to go within minutes.

Peaches Photo Booth: Peaches Photo Booth is a fun photo booth rental, and we got some of the CUTEST pictures and boomerang shots from this! I love how you can text the media to yourself, and it’s sent within seconds.

Deelux Florista: Deelux Florista is Diana’s floral business – her floral arrangements are TOP TIER. The floral arrangements throughout the event were all created by her, and she consistently executes her vision. If you ever need an arrangement of any size, she has you covered.

The Good & Faithful Coffee: The Good and Faithful Coffee is a charming mobile coffee bar service, perfect for events of all types. Coffee and matcha were served, and I was a big fan of the matcha latte with oat milk!

Golf Schitt: GolfSchitt is a fun golf accessories shop owned by Lyn. She had the CUTEST ball markers, whether you’re into Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Drake, Porsche, BMW, or Hello Kitty. If you’re constantly losing count of your strokes, you can also get the count caddy to clip onto your pants, shorts, or skirt.

Aside from the vendor experiences, there were some fun individual booths for the ladies to enjoy.

Shoe Charms: Ruthie started styling her shoes with charms through the laces. I am a huge fan, and this is a great way to accessorize your golf shoes to express yourself. I learned that charms can get expensive, especially if you have a refined taste. An oyster charm is just $18 at Alex and Ani.

RTG Fit Check: The theme of this outing was white with a pop of color. There is a fit check corner where Ruthie interviews you about your outfit and the changes you want in women’s golf fashion. I’ve always broken out of the norm when it comes to fashion. I’ve been docked points for wearing a skirt (with hosiery) to cybersecurity competitions. I’ll wear my skirts to golf as I PLEASE. THANK YOU!

Self-Care Corner: The best part is the self-care corner, where you can find everything from beauty wipes to sunscreen. Paola has you covered here.

The Terranea Experience

I love Terranea even though their restrooms suck and the road getting there is giving the Disneyland Matterhorn ride because the land is sinking. That aside, I love the golf course – it is challenging. Don’t let the par three fool you. However, I landed my best shots this day. I was dialed in with my irons, and they performed. I need to calibrate my irons a bit more because why was I hitting my 9 iron 120 yds? I ended up with +3 over the par. OKAY. GIRL. I had so many birdie opportunities, but I was sooooo happy with par’s for days.
