The 2025 Ins and Outs is here as we start the new year with a refreshed perspective on life. We reflect on the energy we want to manifest while recognizing the negativity that we want to boot. Although we shouldn’t wait for the new year to change, we can also use the new year as an opportunity to have a fresh start. Here’s my 2025 Ins and Outs.
2025 Ins
Having Solo Days
It is okay to vibe on your own – have solo days where you go out and do things on your own. This can literally be errand day as well. It’s okay if you end up eating at a nice restaurant by yourself. Have the confidence of a bull – own the day. This is a great way to also replenish your social battery, especially after a very social day.
I love attending golf events – they’re very social. At the same time, I also need another day for myself to recover. There’s nothing wrong; this is just for my sanity, so I don’t feel overwhelmed.
Proportionate Nutrition Intake
It’s not about eating. It’s about eating right and having balanced nutrition. For me, it’s avoiding processed foods as much as possible. I realized my problem, especially during golf days, is that I skip breakfast. This ended up being an issue because I would go through low blood sugar by hole #3 and lose the energy to swing properly. I avoid breakfast burritos and anything with eggs or processed foods (i.e. hotdog) before golf. Eating a balanced meal will help me in the long run, especially when I do not feel nasty afterward.
Building Genuine Relationships
We don’t want to meet people just to meet people. We want genuine connections with people and connect at a deeper level. Understand not only the what but the why. Every time I understand the “why” behind people, I become a big fan of the person.
Playing Golf Strategically
I’ve been playing golf for two years, with my goal being to be able to hit and last 18 holes. This year, I want to learn how to play golf strategically. This means not just blindly hitting off the tee box and hoping for the best. It’s also learning how to read the greens and using slopes to your advantage. This also means having to warm up properly.
Incline Runs
I am finally getting comfortable with running, so I’m not challenging myself by running faster but by adding incline to my runs at Barry’s. I managed to work up to a 14.5 speed sprint on New Year’s Eve!!! It’s time to get better!!
Active Recovery
Following long golf days and Barry’s, active recovery is a must. I have been better about it this year thanks to my Theragun. I’ve been using it regularly, and it has helped tremendously while saving me some visits to the Chiropractor. I want to continue improving my active recovery, including doing periodic stretches throughout the day (whatever helps my lower back).
2025 Outs
Negative State of Mind
This includes anything deriving from my anxiety – which has affected the way I golf. Golf is hard. I spent so much time practicing at the driving range, and it’s a bummer when that doesn’t translate to good results at the golf course. When I get nervous about swinging, especially around people I’ve never played with before, it affects how I play and score. I’m going to work on just being chill while playing golf. Maybe I’ll score better!
Excessive Drinking
Two drinks max. We’re at the age where we don’t need more than two drinks. It’s better to be conscious and fully aware of your surroundings.
Situationships
We’re not going to waste time with people who don’t know what they want out of life. If their vision doesn’t align, then it’s a goodbye. We’re better off than letting someone take advantage of our feelings. This aligns with having relationships with intention. But if you’re just looking for short-term fun, you do you, boo.
Doomscrolling
The infamous doomscrolling has you sitting like a couch potato for hours consuming content. While it’s good to consume content to know what’s out there, you’re losing out on productivity. You could have been using that time to do something better. But limit that screen time and do something worthwhile. This can include producing content, too.
Worrying About Other People’s Opinions
We’re at the age where we shouldn’t worry about other people’s opinions. Oftentimes, people are heavily opinionated due to their insecurities. People will say whatever they want to say, but they’re not the ones running in your shoes. We don’t need to worry about external validation; do what makes YOU happy and fulfilled. This is how you live an authentic life.
Body Dysmorphia
We need to love our body, which includes eating properly, resting properly, and being comfortable with who we are. For me, I never ate before golf because I didn’t want to look bloated in pictures – but it comes at a price of losing energy to play properly. Eating a small meal so I don’t play with an empty stomach won’t make me look any more different at that moment.
2025 Ins and Outs
These are my top six 2025 Ins and Outs.
In 2025, we’re manifesting a high-quality life. We’re doing ourselves, being comfortable with who we are, and taking care of ourselves. This means looking good with high-quality jewelry, wearing fitted clothes, and spending our time wisely.
We’re abandoning processed foods (when possible), impulsive spending, screenshotting other people’s stories, and keeping negative energy.
Here’s to a great 2025!

Happy New Year!
Love your 2025 ins and outs! As someone guilty of skipping breakfast all the time, crashing from low blood sugar sucks! I’m trying to be more mindful of having balanced meals and leaning towards healthier habits again. I let myself indulge a little too much last year! I 100% support your outs and can resonate with almost all of them.
