The Louis Vuitton Taiyaki Bag Charm turns a classic Japanese fish-shaped pastry into a leather bag charm. This bag charm was originally released in December 2025 for the Asia market. It’s now slowly making its way into the US market! This is a great way to stylize your bags, keys, and anything to your heart’s content.
Back in the early 2000’s, bag charms (and cell phone charms) were at their peak. It died down, then popped back up in 2024. We’re so back, more personalized than ever. I LOVE bag charms because they add a personal touch and let you express yourself.

The Louis Vuitton Taiyaki Bag Charm features a silver hardware snap-hook closure and a small zipper pouch. The front design looks like a traditional taiyaki dessert. The attention to detail is amazing – with the fins and scale, finished off with the iconic Louis Vuitton logo. When you turn the charm around, it is a cutout of the Louis Vuitton monogram canvas. It is indeed a work of art.
If you open the bag charm, you can fit a few miniature things, including a small lippie, sample fragrance, a key, and an AirTag.
However, you cannot fit a credit card and most modern car keys. Of course, I can’t fit my BMW key in here! This is more of a novelty item than anything, but you can use it as a fancy AirTag holder. Regardless, I am absolutely in love with this bag charm!
The Louis Vuitton Taiyaki Bag Charm
When the Louis Vuitton Taiyaki Bag Charm first came out, I was a bit devastated that it was only in the Louis Vuitton stores in Asia. I asked a couple of people who were traveling to Asia, but it didn’t work out. I thought logically that it should eventually come to the US? I mean, the same happened to the Fortune Cookie, and I was lucky to get one of the last ones in the store.
After looking and looking, I gave up for a bit.
One day, I randomly looked and saw there was one in stock in one of the Las Vegas stores! OKAY. I texted my Client Advisor, Gisele, immediately… And picked it up the following week.
This bag charm was even more beautiful in person. The price tag is $1010. IT IS CRAZY, but it did buy happiness. You do you, boo! As I do what I want to do.
It looks gorgeous paired with all of my bags! Its neutral caramel color goes well with black, beige, white, cream, galet, and more! I leave it on my Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag most of the time, since it is my most-used everyday bag at this point.
