The Chanel 31 Le Rouge Lipstick is the latest high-end piece of treasure in the beauty industry. This lipstick comes in both a satin and matte finish, formulated with Gardenia Oil and Maracuja Oil. Not only does this leave your lips looking pigmented, it also gives a boost of smoothness, plump, luminous, and defined after a few weeks of usage. This lipstick is not just for looks, it’s also to help your lips as well.
The Design
The Chanel 31 Le Rouge Lipstick was designed to be sustainable yet high-quality. The lipstick case is made of tempered glass, allowing you to see through the lipstick. At the same time, the metal vessel allows the lipstick to be refillable, so you don’t always have to buy the casing. Just the inserts. This lipstick was designed to be a “family jewel” that you can pass down to the next beauty enthusiast. There is the iconic Chanel CC logo on top of the lipstick, just so you’re reminded that this is a Chanel lipstick.
Chanel took a lot of inspiration from Gabrielle Chanel to create this lipstick. The glass design illuminates the diamond vibes. They wanted something that would last a long time and took the time to make sure.
The Chanel 31 Le Rouge Lipstick
When you first purchase this lipstick, it comes with the lipstick and a special Chanel casing. It takes a LONG time to finish a lipstick – probably 6 months with continuous usage. The best thing about the Chanel 31 Le Rouge Lipstick is that you can replace it with any shades and finish you desire without paying the full price each time. The first set costs almost $200. The good news is that the refill costs $90.
The biggest difference between this lipstick and other Chanel lipsticks is the benefits. You’re expecting to have your lips be more plumped, moisturized, smooth, luminous, and all the other benefits with the Chanel 31 Le Rouge. The other Chanel lipsticks are great as well, but they’re mostly for longevity, moisturizer, and coloring.
It is honestly up to you on the investment. The price is steep, but might be worthwhile in the long run if you’re a bougie girlie. If you’re looking for the basics, any other Chanel lipstick will do.
The Verdict
I love that this lipstick actually lasts several hours without the need to reapply. The biggest factor for me is whether the lipstick has a wax bloom. I am actually a fan. If you have over $200 to spend on a lipstick just to be fancy, feel free to. Otherwise, an everyday Chanel lipstick can do too.
