Summer is here, and let’s talk about golf necessities and outfits for the ladies! This is prime-time golf; the sun is out longer, and we need to take advantage of this while we still can. At the same time, we need to be well-prepped so we don’t get overheated and sunburned. This is your Women’s summer golf guide. Utilize this checklist to make sure you have all of the necessities for your next golf outing!

Summer Golf Guide
- Golf Cart Seat Covers: Golf cart seats can get hot from being in the sun all day. You don’t want to burn your thighs when you return to the golf cart. The Golf Cart Seat Covers will help protect you and give you a comfortable ride through the 9/18 holes. The big plus is that they’re machine washable!
- Portable Fan: When you clip a portable fan to your golf cart, you can feel the extra breeze, especially on a hot day. You can also clip this to your push cart to ensure you stay cool throughout the course.
- Snacks: Golf courses usually prohibit outside food, but bring snacks at your own risk. The sun drains your energy and life, and you’ll need some snacks to boost your energy for those tee and fairway shots. Stock up whether you have to buy it from the golf course’s cafe or your favorite grocer.
- Hydration: It’s safe to bring at least 2 bottles of water for a 9-hole course, and 4 bottles for 18.
- Insulated Bag or Cooler: An insulated bag or cooler filled with ice is a must when carrying drinks and anything that needs to be kept cool.
- Thermal Cup Full of Ice: Before leaving the house, fill that 40oz Stanley Tumbler or whatever insulated cup you have with ice. This will be useful when you refill your other drink with some ice because the last thing you want in the middle of hole 12 is to drink warm water or liquid.
- Can Cooler: Whether you’re drinking soda, beer, or any other beverage, a can cooler is a must to give an insulated cover to keep your drink cool during the course.
- Sweat Towel: Bring at least two towels, one to wipe your sweat away and another to wet and keep around your neck.
- Hydration Mist Face Spray: While you wipe the sweat off your face, make sure you keep your skin from drying out by spraying a hydration mist face spray on the 9th and 18th holes. My favorite is the Chanel Hydra Beauty Essence Mist.
- Sunscreen: Sunscreen is a MUST! Reapply sunscreen to exposed skin, including the face, every two hours or according to the SPF level.
- Sporty Sunglasses: Make sure the sunglasses you’re wearing won’t slip off your face (especially with all of that sunscreen) when you’re swinging!
- Look at your Golf Club Grips: Make sure your golf club grips are not worn out because this can affect your swing! Grips on the Go is a great mobile service that can regrip your clubs within minutes. You can go to their pop up’s or have them come to you.
Summer Golf Lookbook
A hat is a MUST! Protect your head, scalp, and face from the damaging effects from the sun. You can opt for a visor, bucket hat, or a cap.
Ladies can look trendy and cute at the golf course! During the summer, if you don’t want to wear pants or shorts, you can opt for a dress with a collar, a dress without a collar, a skirt with a polo, or a skirt with a tank combo. It really depends on the golf course you’re going to and their dress code. The more prestige golf courses will want a more contemporary look.
Trendy colors for ladies golf attire include white, black, grey, navy, pink, and green! Most of Fore All’s clothes are green. You can also rock any colors that your heart desires – as long as you’re happy!
Premium Golf Attire with Johan
[Ad] Johan (pronounced Yo-Han; like the first half of Johannes) sent me a free outfit, which included their signature Short Sleeve Knit Polo and Audrey Pleated Skirt. I love that the clothing feels premium, and it is definitely perfect and better suited for the more contemporary golf courses, like the ones at the country clubs. Collar? Check. Does the skirt measure properly above the knee? Check. Definitely a preferred pleated skirt if you’re looking for a thick waistband as well.

Pleated skirts are in style and is a must within this summer golf guide! There is a rich history tied to pleated skirts, with prep schools and all. Maybe it has always been in fashion, but I didn’t pick up on it until this year. Either way, they’re great to be rocked as a skirt or dress, whether you’re playing golf, pickleball, or tennis. Heck, even the girlies in the run club rock them during the 5k/10k trails.
Sierra Madre Golf
I’m a Sierra Madre Ambassador, which means I have an exciting discount code to share with you! You can either enter the discount code coldbrewvibes or access my referral link for 10% off all of your orders—not just your first order. This will also help support my blog and golf ventures while you look super fly in a new outfit. Not only can you rock these looks for golf, but you can also rock them for brunch, lunch, pickleball, tennis, and more!
Most of my golf attire is from Lululemon, with the exception of a couple of pieces from Vuori, Johan, Malbon, Sierra Madre, and more. There are many golf attires specific to women, including Fore All, J. Lindeberg, G/Fore, Macade, Bad Birdie, and so on.
My recommendation is to find what’s comfortable, fits your style, and is within your budget. Golf doesn’t have to be expensive. Golf can be accessible to all. The point is to have fun and laugh at the golf course. Score some birdies if you can, but bogeys and pars are great as well.
