Louis Vuitton opened its new store at the Americana at Brand in Glendale and hosted their grand opening party last week. They took over the previous Tory Burch and Tiffany & Co. stores and turned it into a huge showroom. You now have an option between the Louis Vuitton at Bloomingdale’s and the Americana at Brand. The only difference is if you care about getting Bloomingdale’s points, you know where to go.
Arriving at Louis Vuitton
Upon arrival, you’ll have to check in, as RSVP is required prior to the event. I was so fortunate to have admissions, thanks to Gisele from Louis Vuitton Bloomingdale’s. She is such a gem!
As you enter, you’re greeted by live musicians – I love how music sheets are digitalized now. I was in love with this string quartet. They even played the Game of Thrones theme song (that I forgot to record because I was too busy looking at the Louis Vuitton Lisa Wallet).
Inside the Store
The store is absolutely stunning – I love the light, neutral palette they used. The store is very well-lit and spacious, and you can spend your time walking around and even chilling on the couches and chairs throughout the store. The men’s and women’s sections are very well separated. I think I like this store more than the South Coast Plaza version.

The Hors D’oeuvre
Louis Vuitton did a great job in making sure guests stayed fed and hydrated. The folks walking around with the platters were amazing. They had sparking water, still water, vodka cocktail, and champagne. You know I had to have champagne at Louis Vuitton.
Small bites featured sauteed mushrooms, lobsters, caviar, and more. There were lots of food, and I didn’t turn any down. The caviar was so magical. My favorite dish of the night – the baked cracker, creme fraiche, avocado, edible flowers, and caviar. Real caviar. Not roe disguised as caviar. Real. Caviar.
Leather Goods
I got to try out the Louis Vuitton Capucines and Go bags! I am in LOVE with both – who needs a Chanel flap bag when you have the Go? The leather quilting has an amazing feel, and the chain feels so nice.
The Louis Vuitton Alligator Mini Capucines Royal Garden is stunning. Amazing. This is not crocodile – there’s a difference. I never thought I’d like the alligator skin, but this changed my mind. Some day, I’ll get a Capucines. It could’ve been in Italy, and I could’ve ended my bag journey there. The journey continues. Cheers.
